Heather began practicing in 2010. She went on to earn her Biology Pre-Med degree from NCCU in 2017. She tried 2 years of medical school on for size but found the weekly out-of-state drive back and forth away from her husband and children, still at home in Durham, to be unfulfilling and exhausting. Next, she finished 3/4 of an accelerated nursing program top of her class before deciding that nursing was not her passion.
For a long time, Heather dreamed of a career in medicine serving those who needed it most. It took a decade, but she realized she is already doing just that. Massage is truly where her skills and passions lie.
Heather intimately knows the struggles of those in healthcare and is perfectly suited to provide care and healing touch to other providers and every(body) else who needs it as well. She strongly believes that those who care for others must take good care of themselves to prevent burnout and compassion fatigue. She is also trained to assist with chronic pain, TMJ, headaches/migraines, frozen shoulder, scar tissue (burns, injuries, surgical), plantar fasciitis, lymphedema, and autoimmune conditions. Heather's work can be described as very specific and anatomically accurate yet smooth and deeply relaxing.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending it with her family, doing yardwork, attending local comedy shows, and caring for all her pets (cats, dogs, fish, and jumping spiders. Oh my!).
