Hello!
My name is Ahira Sanchez, NC licensed massage therapist #14789. I am a native of North Carolina, born and raised in the South. I currently live in Sampson county. I graduated from Johnston Community College in 2014 with a diploma in Therapeutic Massage. I went to massage therapy school with the intent of learning an art that would enable me to help people feel good and I found more than what I had expected. I found that massage is more than just pampering. Therapeutic massage is about promoting health awareness and assisting to bring back equilibrium through touch to a hurting body and mind, be it from stress, a physical injury, or maybe even emotional distress.
I started out working at a non-profit organization called NC Farmworkers Project where the mission is to promote health awareness in the local farm worker communities. As an outreach worker, I have had the opportunity to see what physical and emotional needs farm workers have and became interested in becoming a health-care provider of some form. After graduating in 2013 with my Associate degree in Arts, I decided to go to massage therapy school thinking that it would be an excellent way to become more familiar with health-care. Since graduating with my diploma in Therapeutic Massage, I have had many opportunities to provide relief to people in the farm worker community through therapeutic massage. And it is something that I enjoy very much.
One of my main current goals as a massage therapist is to expand my horizons and work for people outside of the farm worker communities as well. As a mobile massage therapist, I currently provide on table Swedish Massage and Deep Tissue Massage with myofascial release. I also provide chair massage, an excellent way for newbies to be introduced to massage and adjust to their comfort level until they decide they are ready for a table massage. The overall goal will always be to release muscle tension, increase range of motion and flexibility, promote the feeling of euphoria and of relaxation, and to lessen stress. I do plan to specialize in more modalities with the intent of providing a larger spectrum of techniques to my clients, so be on the look out for more in the future!
I am available to work in Sampson County, Harnett County, Johnston County and Cumberland County. I do not charge mileage for any locations within 30 miles of DUNN, NC.
