A Virginia native, Angelee Oh came onboard with the Teal Center in October 2018 and is a graduate of the Northern Virginia Community College’s Massage Therapy program. Problem solving and serving others is what Angelee enjoys most about her work. Her nearly 20 years as an Army Soldier and Intelligence Officer enabled her to travel the world, delve deeply into the benefits of exercise (running, weightlifting, triathlons), and earn a degree in Human Services. Her varied life experience gives Angelee a unique approach to discovering the source of what causes clients’ pain and bringing relief and resolution to their musculoskeletal discomfort.
Angelee gravitates toward deep tissue massage, preferring to use focal pressure to relieve tension in areas that need it most. She is trained in Spinal Reflex Therapy (SRT) and currently studying Precision Neuromuscular Therapy (PNMT) and sports and orthopedic massage. Her energy is enthusiastic, fun, and empathetic. She enjoys educating clients in specific methods of self-care as a follow up to treatment. Angelee enjoys both the art and science that she believes are integral to giving a quality massage.
Angelee’s ideal client is one who is experiencing musculoskeletal discomfort, such as those with recent joint replacements or who are recovering from injury. Clients who want to maintain or advance their health and fitness will see the benefit that regular massage plays in injury prevention and self-care.
In her free time, Angelee enjoys researching pathologies and volunteering her hands to massage Pedal for Parkinson’s participants. Angelee has a golden retriever service dog provided by Hero Dogs, Inc
