Hi, my name is Christopher Riddick, a licensed massage therapist and owner of San Luis Valley Therapeutic Massage.  I recently moved to  Del Norte, CO from Dripping Springs, TX and my mission is to help law enforcement, first responders, military and their families find relief from pain and discomfort. 

Helping people who are suffering from chronic pain, physical or mental fatigue, and work-related stress is important to me because I know what it’s like to work long hours in a physically demanding setting. I understand how mentally drained or overworked people in these careers can get. 

In 2018, I left my career as a field service technician and a trainer for gas turbine assembly and maintenance company to pursue a new career path in massage therapy. I primarily chose this new career path because I, like many of my colleagues, would seek out massage and acupuncture  to get out of physical pain and maintain mental well-being.

The physical stress on the body from lifting and working in awkward situations, and the mental stressors often brought on by time constraints and expectations (along with the additional stress of not knowing when, where or how long we would be at a project) had its own sets of pressures and stresses. I found that massage helped greatly to bring my mind and body back from the stresses of the job and helped me regain as much work-life balance as I could.

It is my mission to be able to offer this type of relief from pain and stress to those who need it most, the men and women on the front lines who keep our society safe and moving forward. I am honored to be trusted to offer relief from pain and am honored to work with you. I look forward to talking and connecting with you soon!
