The Art of Massage

My mentor/teacher referred to massage therapy as a high art which to me meant that which is practiced at a high level, invoking a higher power. As a practitioner. I'm helping facilitate healing/recovery as well as relieving stress to hopefully manage a better quality of life.

I came to this practice after a job layoff. A massage therapist had asked me if I had ever thought about doing massage, that the profession needed male therapists. She planted a seed in my head. Having an interest in a more holistic approach to medicine, learning about the human body and being of help to people, I decided to enroll in a program.

My former occupation was as a technical/commerical artist and on the side as a fine artist. I found my passion. As an artist I'm working with my hands applying The Art of Massage to help my clients relax, reduce muscular tension and pain.

I attended and earned a diploma from SHI Integrated Medical Massage School in Lebanon, OH.I'm a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) in Ohio and Kentucky. I'm Board Certified in Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (BCTMB), by the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB), also a Certified Member of Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals (abmp).

My specialities include Medical/Therapeutic Massage, Swedish Massage, Pregnancy Massage and Reiki. I have had additional courses/training in: Massage for People Living with Cancer, CranioSacral Therapy, Myofascial Release.

My business name is Toma Massage LLC. My main location is in Fort Thomas, KY. 

I also have a space in Crestview Hill, KY., with limited availability, located in "Acupuncture and Holistic Health, LLC". This is the practice of Acupuncturist Shilpa Dias, M.S.A.c, C.Ac, FABORM.
