It's time for blissful restoration & rejuvenation!

Becoming a massage therapist was never really something I thought about being as a child. At the young age of about 5, my grandmother would ask me to rub her shoulders. With no clue of what I was doing, I would rub my grandmother's shoulders and she would always tell me how her shoulders felt better afterwards. Becoming a massage therapist was never really something I thought about being as a child. At the young age of about 5, my grandmother would ask me to rub her shoulders. With no clue of what I was doing, I would rub my grandmother's shoulders and she would always tell me how her shoulders felt better afterwards. As I got older and graduated from high school, I went to college to pursue a career in nursing. In the process of getting my basic classes done, I had a daughter that six weeks after being born had special health needs. I would rub her like I did my grandmother's shoulder as a child and it seemed to comfort her. Her doctors would always tell me to massage her, but I didn't really know how. That's when I had the brillant idea to go to school for massage therapy. I attended the Texas Center for Massage Therapy- Dallas campus in Richardson, TX in October 2012. I learned a variety of modalities such as, Swedish, Deep Tissue, Reflexology, Sports Massage, etc. A month before graduation, I passed the MBLEx licensure exam to become a Licensed Massage Therapist. I graduated from my program in October 2013. After graduation, I worked at a chiropractor's office for eight months. I currently work part time for Massage Envy Spa, as well as for myself. I'm also a recent graduate from Aveda Institute-Dallas for esthiology & licensed esthetician. What I love most about being a massage therapist is that I get to help others physically & mentally. To know that I can help someone else feel better physically and mentally is the best feeling ever. I love what I do!

I had my deep tissue massage on Sunday. It's Wednesday and I still feel the effects of it. Wish I could afford them weekly. I feel wonderful.
