I'm not just a massage therapist, I am a facilitator of healing.

Becoming a massage therapist was a calling not a first choice for a career.  After my service in the Army I was looking into a career as an interior decorator, however God had a different plan.  At a church service a friend of mine (and massage therapist) came over and asked if she could work on my shoulder and neck.  She noticed that I was all "crinked" up from holding my infant.  In that moment I new that becoming a therapist was my calling and the next day I researched local massage progra...

In that moment I new that becoming a therapist was my calling and the next day I researched local massage programs.

My journey as a therapist has been a windy road and in my opinion I feel that it has made me a better therapist; I'll start at the beginning.

I knew that I wanted to start my own business and I had an independent contractor agreement with the chiropractor that I interned with as soon as I graduated.  Two months after graduation and getting a running start on my business a box truck cut off my husband and I while on his motorcycle.  We were blessed to not be killed, my left hand was crushed, my molars were crushed and I sustained a TBI that I live with to this day along with daily chronic pain.

Understanding what it's like living with pain and ways to relieve pain and live a healthier life has helped me to ask the questions of clients to understand what they are going through and what I can do to help them, through not just my training but my experiences as well.  I continue to learn new modalities to add to my knowledge and I am planning and in the hopes for the future to build and open my own wellness center.

Amber is very intuitive. Not every massage is exactly the same. She adjusts her focus each time to the areas that need more attention. I also appreciate feedback after the massage (stretches, movement exercises) that will improve my overall well being.
