Mind/Body/Spirit. Wellness Works

Hello current and future clients. I am blessed to be in the field of holistic wellness. For me this is a calling !!   I have a B.S. in Psychology which I believe led me to where I am today. I am dedicated to alleviate pain in people.  I quickly realized the passion to do so revolved much more so in an holistic approach when I thought I would be a widow. ( I was going into Nursing). I became a nurse to my husband, whom by choosing a wellness approach, gained 90% of the quality of his life back...

Notable Experiences

Craniosacral Therapy
I have certification in Cranial, Cervical and Sacral alignment/balancing. The flow of the cerebral/spinal fluid and the subtlety of touch and connection it requires is quite an amazing and on going practice. Very calming effect, very therapeutic and stress reducing.
Chair Massage
This is a favorite for schools, companies, and events. Love seeing the benefit 10 or 15 minutes of chair massage can give to a client.
Deep Tissue
This is a request of many clients. It is an integrated form of combined modalities and is used by virtually every therapist out there. Yes, 90% of all therapists in this field do " deep tissue" . I am in the 90 %
Myofascial Release
I use this modality daily..to open fascial restrictions. We all have them. Myofascial Release is one of the modalities that I am "known for" so to speak. It really helps open up space so muscles don't feel so restricted. Much of this work is done without massage crème to maximize benefit to the tissue.
I use this almost daily in my practice. My neuromuscular instructor told me after being in a wheel chair after an accident in an over turned tank in the service...that physical therapy allowed him to walk again, neuromuscular therapy allowed him to be pain free. This is integrated into my practice and used when needed. It especially works well with TMJ dysfuntion. I have experience in external and inter oral work.
Sports Massage
Certified and experienced in alleviating issues/injuries sport related. Runners, baseball, basketball, workout warriors. I can help.
Relaxing, stress reducing, very connected touch. It can help reduce blood pressure, increase blood flow, may help in decreasing anxiety and/or depression and some clients relax enough to fall asleep. This is a compliment to we as therapists. It means to us, you feel safe, comfortable and relaxed. Sometimes, we get this with the more intense work too.. just releasing the tension.
Therapeutic Touch
Being present with the client and connected to the needs of that person, in that moment is paramount in my practice. Whether the need is an hour to an hour and half of light, gentle touch, a listening ear, compassion and acceptance, energy work, or pain relief related to injury; I believe my psychological background couples perfectly with therapeutic touch and the entire mind, body, spirit experience. All of this combined allow "you" a massage therapy session tailored to your needs. YOU are what matters !!
