"Self Care is giving the world what' s best of YOU, Instead of giving what's left of you". - Katie Reed

I was raised in Sedona, Arizona and have been here most of my life.  My parents brought us here in 1993 to escape the humidity and hurricanes in South Florida.  From a very early age I had an interest in anatomy, nutrition and movement.

I was raised in Sedona, Arizona and have been here most of my life.  My parents brought us here in 1993 to escape the humidity and hurricanes in South Florida.  From a very early age I had an interest in anatomy, nutrition and movement.

I Began pursuing degrees in Exercise Science and Physical Therapy but

Ultimately I decided that the healing arts and holistic care better suits me.

In addition to being a full time personal trainer, pilates and yoga  instructor, I attended the Sedona School of Massage in 2014.  I am really passionate about my work and hope that comes through. I strive to be compassionate and thoughtful while attending to the specific needs of each individual.  I use an integrative approach blending hands on therapy, fascial stretching, movement and postural coaching.  I like to assign stretching, strengthening exercise or yoga to support your goals and continued self care.

THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE

Light to Medium Pressure with relaxing and rejuvenating Swedish Techniques. I incorporate myofascial release to unravel layers of fascia in the body. This will all help release stress, pressure and tension. Sometimes we just need some self -care and TLC. We can discuss the goal of the session and set an intention when we meet.

SPORTS MASSAGE

ADVANCED TECHNIQUES WITH ORTHOPEDIC TESTING

Deep and Medium Pressure massage to release adhesions from repetitive motion.

I am also trained to help evaluate and confidently determine the cause or source of pain and injury. Sometimes a sore shoulder is a simple impingement, in some cases, it may be something more serious. If I believe you are in need of Imaging, Physical Therapy, or to see an orthopedic surgeon I will refer you on. I will continue to be there to support you through the process working alongside Physical or Orthopedic Therapists to ensure you a speedy recovery.

CUPPING THERAPY

Cupping therapy (or cupping massage) is an ancient treatment method that has its origins in traditional Chinese medicine. This alternative therapy uses spheres made of different materials.  I use silicone cups which are gentle on the skin while creating vacuum to increase blood flow to tight muscles.  Cream or oil is used to allow for a nice glide. Cupping is a great add on or can be used for the entirety of your session.

ACTIVE RELEASE TECHNIQUE

This is a type of Manual Therapy that combines manipulation and movement to help relieve adhesions and impingement. This is especially helpful for the athlete looking for immediate results. I did my training in Upper Extremity, Lower Extremity and Spine at the ART Center in Colorado Springs, CO

 (I SUGGEST 30 MIN SESSIONS)

Nicole was very professional. She asked questions to learn more about my body and what areas needed more attention. I have already booked another session with her.
