Hello.  My name is Ty Guttenberger. Thank you for visiting and learning a bit about me and my view of what I can provide you as a PERSONAL BODYWORKER.

I am a highly professional, licensed massage therapist in both, OR (OBMT 22700) and CA (CAMTC 35418). I'm deeply focused on providing pain relief and relaxation to people that are overworked and overstressed. I know and understand that lifestyle all too well having spent many years as an engineer (yes, I said “engineer”). I understand the damage stress does to our bodies now and am committed to helping people gain needed balance. I'm also a former rock climber and juijitsu-ist with a passion for outdoors and body movement. You’ll find me to be a caring and nurturing professional with a passion for the healing benefits of massage.

I've been providing bodywork since 2010 and have worked with professional athletes, seniors, women hurt from trauma, cancer "champions", hospice, elite billionaires, hyper-tense stress junkies, and everything in between. My resume includes working with and managing elite spas in Santa Barbara and Carmel, mobile brokers everywhere, running my own bodywork shop (10 employees included), and founder of the DTM Wellness Directory (helping other practitioners find good matching clients).

Of all the things on my resume, the thing I've found is the most rewarding is in personal practice. I love meeting my clients wherever they prefer to make genuine, warm connections. For me it’s not about going through the motions. It’s NOT about customer volume. It’s about taking the time to find each client’s tempo, connecting with his or her aches and pains and nurturing those frayed nerves and muscles back to health. And over time, together, we fill that person with mobility, a lifted spirit, and greater joy as they learn to be in their bodies, better understand what they need to stay balanced, and know how to get help when they need it.

As a PERSONAL BODYWORKER… It starts with presence without judgement… Always. First we talk a bit …Then it’s about maintaining a connection while providing massage therapy - usually in quietude. I specialize in soft tissue manipulation, deep tissue work, and rhythmic flow. I've learned to read the body through breath, the minute nerve twitches, the muscular asymmetries we carry after stress or trauma and respond with a truly caring, therapeutic touch. And when we complete a session you’ll find yourself grounded, more centered and have a greater sense of ease and relaxation – you have my commitment on that.
