Healing the world one massage at a time..

I have always enjoyed helping people and have really found my calling as a Massage Therapist. I love relaxing people who are stressed as well as relieving people with chronic pain, tightened muscles, a work or sport related injury, pre and postnatal care and also educating people about their bodies and what they can do to improve them in the future. I graduated from the Finger Lakes School of Massage with 17 other fabulous people in the Fall of 2012. My lovely certification at FLSM covers both Massage and Hydrotherapy. Upon receipt of my license in March 2013, I sprang into action and into business two months later with the opening of Global Heart Healing and Massage. The business is conveniently located in Downtown Cortland in the Clock Tower building at the corner of Main and Tompkins. It is first floor accessible and surrounded by street parking. After 2 years of successful operation I joined the JM Murray Center team as a private consultant in order to provide clients there exceptional treatment 16 hours a week. Just recently I have also joined The Plaza Hair Nail and Day Spa and work there every Friday from roughly noon to 6. My dreams for reaching as many people as possible via massage are coming true and I could not be happier.

I work with several different modalities on a regualar basis including but not limited to Swedish, Reflexology, Shiatsu, Sports, KAM, Ice Massage, Pre and Postnatal Massage Therapy as well as Hydrotherapy. Each session begins with a written or verbal intake and goals of the session are discussed either briefly or in detail as each session is tailored with an integrated approach to fit each client's changing needs. Massage can be very beneficial to and I have had much success with it when dealing with problems (or transitions) such as Insomnia, Depression, Bariatric Surgery, Muscle tightness, Muscle fatigue, Pregnancy, etc. Massage is also delightful when shared with another whether it be a sibling, parent or spouse. Massage is a great way to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, Valentine's Day etc. I can also always request another therapist for side by side massage, or I can do both massages back to back allowing the observer to learn about the body and tricks about massage that they can then take out into the world with them.

When I am not doing massage I am either hanging out with friends or family, snuggling with my 2 fur balls at home, exercising, learning a foreign language, or studying or taking a class to improve upon massage.
