She completed Teacher’s Training Program in 1988 at the Meditation Center becoming a Certified Yoga Teacher (CYT) additionally completing Teacher’s Training Program at the Himalayan Institute in 1990.  She travels to India for continued studies including a three-month intensive study at Swami Rama Himalayan University’s Ayurveda Centre.

It was as child that Veena fell in love with traditional medicine used in her family’s home and she has remained passionate about Ayurveda for 30 years.

“As a Certified Ayurvedic Practitioner, I have learned that everyone benefits from Ayurveda which offers the ideal preventive and original anti-aging medicine, naturally. It offers effective, gentle treatments that often help clients where Western medicine has left them feeling helpless and hopeless.  Ayurveda can also be curative. It offers healing and education all in one, so clients learn how to optimize their own health—to be empowered and supported, simultaneously.

I welcome all clients who would like to experience compassionate, comprehensive Ayurveda regardless of the reason."

"My main objective when working together with clients--no matter what brings them to my office--is to have them leave feeling encouraged, supported and with a clear plan to feel significantly better. Making a difference in the lives of others is the most rewarding thing that I can do."  - Veena Haasl-Blilie

Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy

The term “Ayurvedic Aromatherapy” has two primary meanings. The first is all the therapies that contain aromatic plants, and therefore have essential oils as their primary active ingredients. The second is all the ways that we can classify and use essential oils according to Ayurvedic concepts such as Prana (life force), Ojas (nutritional immunological essence), Soma (regenerative fluids), Pancha Mahabhutas (five universal elements), and so on. Ayurveda is richly fragrant. Every aspect of treatment and therapy is infused with aromas, which are emanating mostly from the essential oil content of the herbal ingredients that are being used; it is these aromas (and flavors) that provide many of the therapeutic benefits one enjoys when using Ayurveda. Let’s briefly explore the numerous ways that aromatic plants are used in this classical healing system.

I had a wonderful consultation with Veena. She was thoughtful, supportive, knowledgeable and felt really easy to talk to about everything. She has a wealth of knowledge for many different aspects of Ayurveda which helped me expand my own experience with the practice. The plan devised based on some of my biggest challenges or symptoms were very insightful and specifically designed and purposed for me and my situation (which I loved). Many of the practices suggested were new to me but Veena has a way of encouraging people so that it doesn't feel overwhelming or impossible. I highly recommend her services for anyone looking to address any imbalance in their life, big or little.
