I never realized how life altering Medical Massage or Body Work could be for ANYONE, not just those  that are actively playing sports or has ever had a significant injury. Everyone becomes "Unbalanced" at some point, just from normal wear of life. Being unbalanced will eventually present muscular and structural problems over the course of time and how severe is depending on how you treat your body.  I have been practicing Body Work Massage for 10 years now and there isn't a week that passes that I haven't seen the Importance of realigning the body, mind and spirit (especially in todays stressful world).  I challenge myself to actively keep learning and attempting to help the most bizarre conditions that may not originally be seen as something massage could help. From Stroke patients, MS, breast cancer to vertigo, I pride myself in working from the heart with the utmost intent. If I cannot help a certain situation, I will research until I learn or refer the client out to someone I trust. I also believe that explaining WHY the client is in the current situation, (how it slowly came about and what they can do in the future to prevent such an issue or what to do if the warning signs arise) is a HUGE part of my success in treating and alleviating the strangest of imbalances. Everyone is different and because of that, no 2 massages are the same.! I evaluate each person as an individual (even if they all play football) and cater each session to work toward a common outcome that the client has expressed and the desired outcome I expect to achieve before your session is over. I explain it all in detail and I LOVE to answer questions because the more knowledge you obtain, the easier it will be for you to recognize and maintain the imbalances in the future.
