In 2011, Derek suffered a shoulder injury while working at a large natural grocery chain. Deciding to pursue manual therapy to help find relief and recovery from the injury, Derek discovered for himself various modalities of manual therapy including Rolfing, myofascial release, deep tissue massage, and neuromuscular therapy which were instrumental for him finding quality and lasting improvement. In early 2013 Derek Rudolph graduated from the Massage Therapy Institute of Colorado, which specializes in a advanced form of massage tailored toward injuries, poor posture, and chronic pain. Derek's journey for self healing has engendered a passion for helping resolve musculoskeletal and myofascial pain patterns for all his clients who find themselves with a reduced quality of life due to aches, pains, and stress.
Derek is continuously researching to further his advance his understanding and approach toward soft tissue therapies and has an long term goal of writing a book to help make a small contribution to the field of manual therapy.
Raised in Richmond, VA, it was there that Derek and Lorraine Glenn met, while she was working on her bachelors degree. Later the two relocated to Denver, CO to attend school. In 2015, Lorraine and Derek returned to Virginia and to Lorraine's home town of Floyd, VA.
