Annette has been doing bodywork on friends and family since the 1970's, and brings many diverse skills, long experience, vast knowledge and intuition to the table. She has studied acupressure/Shiatsu and Traditional Chinese Medicine, reflexology, aromatherapy, nuttrition, exercise physiology, myofascial release, postural integration, yoga and energy medicine, as an autodidact throughout the last 20 years. She combines her expertise in many modalities to create a Customized Integrative Massage for each client, each session.
She earned a certificate in therapeutic massage at Isothermal Community College in Columbus, NC, and is licensed as a therapeutic massage and bodyworker in North and South Carolina. (NC 14904, SC 9847)
She has also earned certificates as a Certified Reiki Master Teacher, Karuna Reiki (tm) Master Teacher, and Reiki Shamanism Master Teacher.
In addition to her massage therapy practice, Annette is an exhibiting artist and educator, and was a tenured Professor of art for nearly 20 years.
Her goal in providing massage to her clients is to facilitate relaxation, relief from stress symptoms, rejuvenation and healing in a safe and supportive way, and to help support each individual's wellness goals for the session and beyond.
