ChairHeaven: Where Massage Meets Real Life

When I graduated from the Brian Utting school in Seattle, 20 years ago, I had no idea just how many times I would need to reinvent my business. For instance, I had no idea that I was actually a chair therapist, hidden inside a table therapist. I fell in love with on-site chair massage instantly during a gig in 2000. Six years after graduation, I left the table behind completely and never looked back.

Make no mistake, though, I am a fan of table massage and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the help and relaxation I have received over the years. I am simply much more suited to provide massage in chair form and have enjoyed serving in this way for over 15 years.

One of the things that might make me unique as a therapist, is that I have taken many table techniques, and simply adapted them for the chair. So, an integrated blend of Trigger Point, Deep Tissue and good old Swedish massage is what you'll expect in your session. I really listen to what you want and respond to you. Your body is your home, as I say, and I am just a guest.

So whether you like light, deep or anything in between - it is my honor and privilege to help you, where you are, as you are.

"Where Massage Meets Real Life" means - that life isn't always ideal and sometimes you just need a break from homeschooling your children, a break from your work-at-home day, or just a break from the stressful times we call the present. Massage on a table, in a softly-lit room with soothing music might be an unattainable wish for you at this time and not that ideal.

But chair massage is not only attainable, it is affordable, accessible and very ideal for these extremely "un-ideal" and difficult times.

If social isolation has taught us anything, it is that we need each other. We need touch to live, and we need connection to thrive.
