My name is Laurel Sage, I am a 39 year old female with two loving, energetic, little boys.  I’ve been in the military for 16 years and currently I'm in the IRR (Inactive Readiness Reserve).  I've served 2 deployments as a MEDEVAC Pilot and also have a Bachelors in Special Education.
So what does a Special Ed teacher/Blackhawk Pilot do after returning from a deployment and wanting to spend more time with her family?  I pray...

My name is Laurel Sage, I am a 39 year old female with two loving, energetic, little boys.  I’ve been in the military for 16 years and currently I'm in the IRR (Inactive Readiness Reserve).  I've served 2 deployments as a MEDEVAC Pilot and also have a Bachelors in Special Education.
So what does a Special Ed teacher/Blackhawk Pilot do after returning from a deployment and wanting to spend more time with her family?  I prayed a lot and kept coming up with the same answer, Massage Therapy school.  I attended the full time program at HACC in Harrisburg, Pa and graduated in May of 2013.
Moving to Virginia right after graduation, I have spent my entire career in the Richmond area accumulating over 1500 hours of massage experience Thus far.  Currently work alongside two amazing chiropractors, therapeutic massage has become my favorite modality.  I am also very skilled in deep tissue, prenatal, hot stone, sports, and Swedish massage.  I have recently become certified in Oncology Massage and the Aromatouch Technique.  Aromatherapy is another passion of mine, I will be a certified Aromatherapist very soon!

Laurel is amazing! She found spots on my body I didn’t even know could be tight. My whole body was wound up and she was honest that I might be a little sore given all the tension release but I’d feel better in 1-2 days. And she wasn’t lying. By day two, I could tell I was walking different (better) because she relieved so much tension from my back and hips. My shoulders and neck have more range of motion and in general I can just get around better. Definitely would recommend her, hands down.

Laurel worked on two specifics areas that were primary and it really helped to release the muscles and get some relief in these areas. She also was in a bit of pain and yet she willingly worked on me to get me the relief I needed. THAT'S very impressive...Thank you, Laurel!

If you are looking for total relaxation, look no further! Mrs.Laurel created such a welcoming, serene, and comfortable environment from the moment I walked in. The massage itself was heavenly I honestly felt like I was floating afterward. Mrs.Laurel has a wonderful, nurturing energy and is a true expert at what they do.

What Laurel did really well that I appreciated was her knowledge and communication. After I explained that I was dealing with plantar fasciitis and tight calves, she immediately understood the issue and even shared that she had experienced it herself, which made me feel confident in her expertise. She walked me through what she was doing throughout the massage and explained why, which helped me feel comfortable and reassured that the treatment was targeted and effective. Her personable approach and clear experience with this type of pain really stood out.
