Johanna holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in both Spanish and Elementary Education. But right out of college she choose a career in the highlands of Cambodia among a remote hill tribe people. She and her husband Braden spent nearly eleven years among the Pnong people learning their language and their culture. In October, 2011, after 11 years in Cambodia, Johanna and Braden returned to the states with their three little boys. But after a decade of life among a quiet hill-tribe people, the Pewitts were unprepared for the high paced, stressful life of America. Instead of quiet jungle streams with birds flitting through the trees, they found frantic traffic, talking phones, and spinning people. They determined to live a life of calm well-being not only for their family but also for those around them. In September 2014, Johanna started massage training at the longest running massage school in the state, Tri-City School of Massage. Now Johanna and Braden work together in their quiet, soothing massage office in College Place, Wa sharing the gift of healing through touch. Using techniques that range from deep tissue massage to relaxation massage, Johanna tailors each therapeutic session to her clients' needs. Johanna is a Certified Reiki I practitioner. She views every massage as a time of healing. Johanna will bill most insurance. Johanna also offers chair massage sessions for Walla Walla area businesses and events. She loves running, backpacking, and time with her family in the outdoors.
