After years as a medical transcriptionist, I realized the need for me to get regular massages...and sometimes co-workers would ask me to massage their tensed areas of the neck, shoulders and upper back, and commenting I should do massage for a living.  I am now a massage therapist and take much pride in giving my clients a great massage, which has been tremendously rewarding to me.

Research has confirmed massage therapy can help with pain management, improve balance, neurological and cardiovascular measures, boost immune system functioning, decrease stress in cancer patients and even to help reduce winter blues. 

Having been an individual who has experienced the necessity of receiving massages to help relieve work-related, sports-related problems or just as a stress releaser, I've come to appreciate what it means to have a good massage.  My massage includes relaxing forms of massage techniques, as well as deep tissue and trigger point pressure when necessary.
