Massage Works!

I have been practicing massage therapy since 2000. I graduated from the North Texas School of Swedish Massage and have obtain further education in the field from providers in  Texas and Louisiana in the years since. I specialize in Neuromuscular Release therapies and Lymphatic Drainage but I also offer Reflexology, Aromatherapy, Shiatsu, Ear Candling and more. I am constantly adding to my base of knowledge in these and other modalities so that I may offer as many forms of relief to my clients...

Notable Experiences

Bodywork
Acupressure
Acupressure is another invaluable technique. It targets specific muscles and their origin and/or insertion to get the relief that is needed. It is fairly easy to perform and doesn't require any special equipment. It can be done anywhere at any time.
Chair Massage
I offer chair massages to corporate clients who wish to treat their employees to the gift of massage.
Deep Tissue
I have taken several classes on deep tissue techniques and have found it useful in helping to realign areas on several clients and it has allowed old injuries to heal and for them to finally obtain relief from chronic pain. I have advanced education in scoliosis relief, TMJ relief, and migraine relief using a variety of deep tissue techniques.
Neuromuscular
This was an intensive course in neuromuscular release technique along with lymphatic drainage that have proven invaluable in my practice. These therapies along with myofascial release have proven to be very effective in the management of pain and rehabilitation from chronic pain due to unresolved injuries. L. Scott Losoya was a great instructor.
Reflexology
I have studied 3 forms of reflexology and have found through practicing it, that it is very effective for pain relief in the whole body. There is a form of reflexology for every individual based on their own preferences and tolerance to the technique.
Swedish
Swedish massage is the basis of my practice and is usually incorporated into each massage given.
Pregnancy
I offer massages for women at all stages of pregnancy and encourage it for afterwards also. It can help make the woman more comfortable than she would be otherwise.
Other
I offer Ear Candling to my clients to help with removal of excessive build up of ear wax, allergy symptom relief, relief from that feeling of fullness in the ear caused by swimming and other factors. It is very relaxing and has great results.
Reiki
Reiki is an energy balancing type of bodywork that is not for everyone (although it can work for everyone). My Reiki Master - Mary Hjort is a very informative and intuitive instructor. I find it very calming and centering to receive it or perform it.
