Hi, my name is Stephanie, but friends and family call me Nina. I am a semi-retired Massage Therapist that has a limited schedule due to operating two businesses, plus home and family obligations. Since I have a limited schedule and am blessed to have a robust clientele roster, I very seldom am able to accomodate new clients, unless they are referred by our network of professionals.

At Ortho Touch Therapy, I have created a truly unique, boutique experience for people seeeking pain and stress relief. 9 years ago, I created OTT out of necessity. I was an over-booked Massage contractor at a Chiropractic clinic in Creve Coeur. At this clinic, I was the first holistic practitioner, and worked in tandem with the Doctor to build a six person massage team.

When I left, I had a vision to replicate the success and build it by myself, for myself. This time, I wanted to create a business that offered not just massage, but supporting services that gave people real, lasting results, and a road map on how to navigate their issues. None of the locally trained Massage Therapists that I encountered were trained in treating medical or pain conditions. That was something I decided to incorporate into this business--in-office mentorship.

Now, less experienced Massage Therapists are paired with more experienced practitioners to advance their skillset. I personally train all incoming LMT's for anywhere from 3-18 months to ensure customer results. Even senior practitioners work in tandem to treat more complex health cases. Our goal is to help all "Recover Faster. Feel Better;" using the most compatible treatment practices, truly customizing treatement plans for individuals using a spectrum of hands on and hands-off approaches, tools, products, and education.

My Massage Therapy journey--
My fascination with anatomy began in childhood--with the discovery of our family's home encyclopedia set. Spending hour after hour studying the anatomical charts of bodily systems. Some things just *click* for people when they discover a window into the world.

At home, I became the family "masseuse".  Rubbing, stepping on, and kicking backs. Two of my relatives had whiplash injuries when I was about 8 years old and I would go along while they received Chiropractic and Massage.

Time passed and I expanded to working on close friends. They encouraged me to pursue it as a career after high school. Back then, there weren't many job opportunities but I decided to give it a try.

My training at Lakeside School of Massage Therapy-- Milwaukee was nothing short of incredible. Our medical courses were taught by medical professionals (Rn's, Pt's, OT's), and our massage courses included a foundation in Medical & Orthopedic Massage ( advanced Massage Therapy). They wanted to prepare us to work in Medical settings and that is where half of my career has been spent.

Now, as a semi-retired practitioner, I see fewer clients and focus my attention on teaching my staff in a collaborative environment.
