I joined the Army at 17 years old. I traveled the world and lived experiences some only dream to live. In September 2010, I was in an ATV accident while moose hunting in Alaska. I spent 3 months in hospitals all the way in Seattle, WA. I defied the odds and went back home with my right tib/fib still crushed but held together with a lot of titanium. I walked on my own after the doctors said I never would. I continued to work for the government or on government contracts after that. In September 2012, I had my right leg amputated below the knee.
