I came to the world of massage therapy in 2008 by way of wanting to get free of the corporate day job, and also support my acting career in Chicago. I’m a recent transplant to the Metro East area. I came to the world of massage therapy in 2008 by way of wanting to get free of the corporate day job, and also support my acting career in Chicago. I’m a recent transplant to the Metro East area. I soon found myself relaunching my massage practice inside Michelle’s Massage Therapy’s Maryville location, and immediately found it rewarding enough to take over the lease on the space and under its new name, Metro East Massage Therapy & Bodywork.
My style incorporates traditional Swedish techniques, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, and assisted stretching. I’m also certified in prenatal massage. While my training and style is somewhat more clinically-based, I’m a huge believer in the healing power of touch in and of itself. Whether we’re working together to treat a recent injury, chronic pain, or simply to find some respite from anxiety and stress, I strive to meet the client where they’re at, and find the modality that best suits them.
Outside of massage therapy, I’m an avid pop culture geek, writer, and podcast host. My wife, our two kids, and our dog, Jessica Jones, live in Troy.
