Polarity Therapy

Upon finishing the standard 660 Hours of Massage training, I re-enrolled in the same school for 770 hours of Advanced Polarity Therapy training. Polarity is an Ayurvedic Form of energy work designed to balance the 5 elements of the human energy field and release any blockages within all levels of the Chakra system and Aura through many different energy modalities. From crystal healing, sound healing, channeling, inner child work, nutrition, yoga, color therapy, to craniosacral therapy, Polarity Therapy is a masterful system used to Heal the mind/body/spirit and access new potentials of the human experience.

Meditation

Vipassana Meditation Retreat

This 12 Days Silent Vipassana Meditation retreat in Western Massachusetts gave my established meditation experience a significant boost. Vipassana, which means to see things as they really are, is one of India's most ancient techniques of meditation. It was taught in India more than 2500 years ago as a universal remedy for universal ills. In those consecutive hours of sitting and following the technique, only into the late hours of the final days of my course did gain valuable meditation insights. I teach meditation and have incorporated it into much of my massage work, catered to the conditions, expectations, and interest of the recipient.

Yoga

Yoga Years

Yoga for me has been a pillar of my emotional, mental, and physical self care. Doing different forms of yoga in group settings and by myself over the years has given me another array of tools to share with my massage clients. Aside from being able to examine and know our body's anatomy in a different way, different yoga disciplines have given me a myriad of stretching and breathing techniques for different situations with my clients. For instance, Restorative/Yin Yoga for restoring baseline functioning, or a more gentle means for someone not as physically capable to gain strong positive results increasing mobility and restoring range of motion. Basically doing different forms of yoga has allowed me identify what technique could best suit the needs and interests of my client. The way we feel is deeply embedded in our body physically, mentally, and emotionally. Yoga is a science that directly treats and balances every part of our being with mindful and intentional movements. In a short time with proper technique, one can access and further normalize their natural and innate qualities of calmness, creativity, compassion, strength, and knowing. Yoga is another technology designed to bring about this wholesome state. By aligning and creating balance in the physical body, we create the "Riverbed" for the rest of our body to flow through properly and without obstruction.
