Jackie is a graduate of Advanced Fuller. She has been a massage therapist for over 14 years and is a Virginia Beach Native. She has been active in sports her whole life. She holds a black belt in Karate, was a professional boxer and kick boxer, and is a competitive cyclist as well as a recreational runner.
Her interest in massage began as an athlete suffering from Iliotibial Band Syndrome. The combination of sports massage and stretching on a regular basis was successful in healing the injury. In later years, massage helped to reduce scar tissue and pain while healing from a full knee replacement. Jackie became a certified massage therapist 2006 and has continued to advance her knowledge in different massage modalities since.
She works with a diverse clientele of all ages, injuries and disabilities. She is trained in and has vast experience in providing massage for clients with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) or better known as Lou Gehrig's disease. Therapeutic massage works to decelerate muscle atrophy and lower anxiety in clients with ALS. She also holds certifications in Oncology massage and post surgical massage treatments.
Jackie specializes in muscular pain relief and sports massage using deep tissue and trigger point techniques. With her incredible knowledge, passion for continuing her education of the human body, and exceptional attention to muscle fibers, she is a welcome addition to our team.
We are excited to let Jackie use her specialized skills to produce results for you!
