I believe in the healing power of connection – that we can move toward health and peace by connecting to our bodies, our creativity, our community of support, and our Earth. My work and personal backgrounds center around nature, children, creativity, and the power of touch, all of which enrich my approach to the healing arts. 


​A native of the Ozark Mountains in Arkansas, I studied biology at Oberlin College in Ohio. After college, I worked in the environmental sciences for several years before completing the holistic massage therapy diploma program at Body Therapy Institute in North Carolina.  I now enjoy working with adults, children, and pregnant women in my private bodywork practice. I'm a contributing author in The Ethics of Touch, 2nd edition, by Ben Benjamin and Cherie Sohnen-Moe, a required text at over 250 healing arts schools. In 2016, I also authored a self-help memoir, The Art of Healing from Sexual Trauma, as a way to offer creative self-care ideas for survivors of sexual violence.
