My interest and passion about health and wellness started as a teen when I began teaching aerobics. I went on to study various forms of healing for the mind and body. At the University of Minnesota, I worked for the Department of Recreational Sports and received my B.S. degree in Family Social Science. In 2001, I graduated from Southwest Institute of Healing Arts as a Master Level Massage Therapist (LMT). In 2012, I studied with Kirk Yoga, and became a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT).

Over the years I have trained and certified in several specialty techniques such as:
- Neuromuscular Therapy
- Myoskeletal Therapy
- Biomechanic Restructuring
- Muscle Energy Technique
- Lymphatic Drainage
- Massage Cupping
- Pre- and Post-Natal Massage
I have many techniques to draw from when I am working with a client to help meet their individual needs. I help my clients find a sense of well-being through relaxation, relief from stress and chronic pain, and increased flexibility.
My experience and training has allowed me to develop a customized system for assessing, treating, and preventing soft tissue injuries and chronic pain. I have spent 14 years practicing massage and found my niche in treating chronic pain. It has been rewarding to see my clients find freedom and relief in their bodies.
Yoga - I fell in love with yoga in 2000 and have practiced in several different styles and attended many retreats and workshops. In 2011, I began to deepen my study of yoga through Anusara teacher training. I loved the attention to form, safety, and alignment. I was immediately intrigued and hooked, both for rehabilitating my own injuries and as a method of exercise to help my clients unlock their optimal posture. I found the emphasis on precise alignment to be transformational for healing and the yoga philosophy to be personally empowering and life-affirming. I have had the privilege of studying with some amazing teachers like Martin and Jordan Kirk, Noah Maze, Sarah Starnes, Marc Holzman, Tara Trudell, Erich Schiffmann, Rod Stryker, and Doug Keller.
Through the years, I have developed a keen understanding of the human body and its ability to naturally unfold and heal. This understanding fuels my passion that empowers my students and clients to tap into their own infinite healing potential and experience the freedom and joy both massage and yoga can bring.
