I had opportunities with the elderly residents to grow and express, but not often without duress or struggle. Touch became a very integral part of my job, just extending a hand or sharing a hug would make a marked difference in someone's experience. I became very interested also in proactive approaches to some of the dis-eases and dis-functions that occur with aging. I enrolled in Baltimore School of Massage and graduated in April of 2014. As a registered massage practitioner, I bring compassion and mindfulness to each session, assessing objectives and reaching for individual goals. While a lot of my work is driven by energy and intention, I also understand and embrace the very technical nature of the practice. I love sharing knowledge and empowering clients to fully understand what is going on with their body. In this way, clients become aware that it isn't anyone but themselves that is doing the healing.
