Massage Therapy has shown me not just a way of facilitating comfort and healing for others, but has been a catalyst for personal growth and a way of living. After graduating from a four year study in the arts and collaborative leadership I decided to meld the two into what has become ten years of a fulfilling career in the healing arts. My passion has always been efficiency and effectiveness in the treatment of chronic pain and injuries to allow clients to return to a state of balance, wellness and enjoyment of life. The flexibility of a career in massage has afforded me the opportunity to pursue many rich learning experiences. I have sat at the feet of great teachers, gained wisdom from placing my hands on hundreds of different bodies, and traveled the world.
My continuing education has included the study of John F Barnes Myofascial Release Work and also the work of the doula, or birthing assistant and most recently a 200 hour certification in yoga and meditation teaching. In life and in my career I have a strong practice of presence, non-judgement, and actuating change with grace. I cultivate balance in my own life through seasonally appropriate nutrition, exercise, positive relationships, and a spiritual meditation and yogic practice. Through my walk in life I aspire to inspire and inform my clients and those around me in ways that enrich their life experience.
