Amy has been an active member of the midcoast, Maine community for 20 years. She earned  a BA from the University of New Hampshire (Spanish and International Affairs) and graduated from the Downeast School of Massage in Waldoboro, Maine. She grew up in southern Maine and also spent several years living in Alaska. Constantly curious, unfailingly energetic, and deeply empathetic, Amy's genuine love of people and caring for them is what inspires her to offer her clients a customized experience in which they are the main focus during the entire treatment. Amy has spent many years working professionally with young children, elders, and everyone in between. She loves to travel, hear people's stories, cook delicious food, explore new places, inhale the salty sea air, learn new things, and let go of old beliefs. She is committed to helping people feel more comfortable in their bodies, encouraging self-love and acceptance, and supporting their overall wellness. Since completion of massage school, Amy has pursued continuing education in prenatal massage, oncology massage, and manual lymphatic drainage, becoming a Certified Lymphatic Drainage Therapist. She has been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 2020, and has built a practice with a (mostly) local clientele of all ages in the midcoast area. The practice has recently moved to Rockland, Maine on the first floor of the Sharp's Point South Professional Building. Amy believes a thorough client intake process is a key first step during the first meeting, allowing the client to share pertinent information with a practitioner who listens first and then creates a treatment plan customized for the individual.  Quiet is maintained for the client during the session. Soft, ambient music is played and the practitioner will not impose unnecessary conversation during treatment. Professional standards and ethics are a cornerstone of the practice.

I’ve just recommended Amy to two friends currently in need of massage therapy. Amy is very skilled, has lots of experience as well as extensive knowledge, and is an excellent listener.

Amy’s hands just know. From the moment you step into her serene space, the outside world melts away. She found knots I didn't know existed and worked them with the perfect pressure—never too much, never too little. You can tell she truly understands the body. I walked in carrying weeks worth of stress and floated out ninety minutes later. Look forward to returning regularly!
