Muscular Therapy Institute (MTI)

Nancy is a 1997 graduate of the Muscular Therapy Institute (MTI). She is trained in the Benjamin System of Massage, combining Swedish style massage with a focus in deep tissue work and cross-fiber frictioning. Through these techniques her approach targets injury treatment with specific intentions. The ultimate goal of each session is to use her orthopedic training to target problem areas, relieve pain, and aid in rehabilitation through the removal of scar tissue.
During her sessions, she combines deep tissue work, myofascial release, and relaxation massage to meet the goals of each client. In addition to pain management, sessions also extend beyond the reaches of the appointment, as self-care techniques are offered to promote health both on and off the table. During each appointment, Nancy’s sessions are intuitively tailored to the needs and expectations of the individual.
She is currently furthering her training at the Benjamin Institute for Advanced Studies and is continuing to enhance her techniques and explore the latest advances with the Bodywork Education Project.
