Gretchen is a Licensed Massage Therapist practicing at Fair Winds Wellness in Cambridge, MD offering Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. Swedish massage, Myofascial Release, Hot Stone Massage, Deep Tissue techniques, and Body Treatments are the modalities she employs to support her clients in pain management, increased range of motion, stress reduction, detoxification, and overall well-being. She has been practicing Massage Therapy and Bodywork since state and national board licensure in March 2006. She is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) and the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals (ABMP).

A Maryland native Gretchen is happy to have returned to her home port of Annapolis in 2013 aboard her boat, and now calls Cambridge home since November 2017.

She graduated from Body Therapy Institute in Silk Hope, N.C. outside of Raleigh-Durham in December 2005. BTI’s diploma program gave Gretchen a strong foundation in the modalities she practices. The strong philosophy at BTI in treating clients from a centered presence as facilitator of somatic awareness is the backbone of Gretchen’s hands on work.

Following graduation she furthered her education in craniosacral therapy, lymphatic massage, deep tissue modalities, and hot stone massage. Her education in Massage and Bodywork Therapy has included intensive hands-on continuing education. She is grateful to have studied with Michael Shea, Thomas Myers, and other highly respected teachers in the Industry.

She practiced massage therapy at B’ Roman Skin and Body Therapy in Cary, N.C. while living in North Carolina prior to moving back to Maryland. As well, she maintained her home based practice focused on treating those with chronic health issues.

Her core defining philosophy over the years and that which informs her work beside the massage table is that of unconditional positive regard and client-centric service.
