• Actively involved in the daily treatment of athletes, which included pre and post-game injury assessments, taping, manual therapy, modalities and exercise prescription • Identified, reported and monitored athlete injuries and recovery; reported directly to the Head Athletic Therapist • Lead a team of three student Athletic Therapists, which included the supervision of their rehabilitation sessions with athletes and provided the appropriate feedback on their treatment techniques/choices • Responsible for conducting and leading treatment sessions for non-traveling athletes during away games. • Involved in on-field injury management during games; provide transportation for injured athlete off the field for home and visiting teams when immediate medical attention is required • Performed daily Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST) sessions with athletes • Responsible for inputting daily treatment notes into the CFL-wide Athlete Health Management System (AHMS) online database
• Involved in injury assessment of drivers, couriers, packagers and other Purolator employees • Responsible for rehabilitation and home program design for Purolator employees with the goal of obtaining a pain-free workplace, to manage employee injuries before a WSIB claim is made and to reduce the number of lost days from work due to injury
• Involved in injury assessment, rehabilitation and exercise prescription with patients ranging from ages 10-65 with a variety of acute and chronic injuries • Designed an injury prevention program involving biweekly treatments of Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST) and created an individualized home program of exercises and stretches for each patient • Responsible for acquiring patients through marketing initiatives including workshops, lunch and learns with physicians as well as conferences and expos • Involved in over the counter bracing distribution and education such as ankle braces, patellar stabilizers and compression garments
