Griselle's diagnosis with Type 1 Diabetes was the inspiration point to turn to overall wellness. Her personal experience of receiving massage therapy during this life style change helped her cope with her anxiety, depression, and overall body stiffness as a direct result of her disease.
The desire to learn the art of massage to help others cope with their own body adaptations to illnesses and injuries pushed Griselle to obtain her massage therapy degree from Cortiva Institute in Crystal Lake, IL. She graduated valedictorian of her class in 2009. She is licensed in the State of Illinois, and a certified member of the Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals community.
Griselle has been practicing massage therapy for 9 years with steady employment in a franchise spa clinic where she has maintained a loyal and satisfied client base. She uses a wide variety of therapeutic techniques during her sessions including: Swedish, deep tissue, myofascial, PNF stretch, neuromuscular, trigger point, prenatal, craniosacral, and reflexology.
Griselle continues to stay current with existing modalities through continuing education as well as explore new modalities to bring maximum relief to her client's needs for a restorative result.
When Griselle is not "hands-on" with her clients, she enjoys yoga, meditation, gardening, DIY/craft projects, food/wine festivals, road trips, and spending time with her husband "Travis", dog "Doc", and cat "Lady".
