Born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario is where I began my massage therapy career in April 2000. Upon completion of RMT training and receiving my diploma I started practicing alongside a chiropractor. During those few years, I was able to build a home based business. Craving more experience and a thirst for travel, I took the opportunity to work at Willow Stream Spa in Banff, AB. This is where I began extending my practice into more expansive modalities such as Hot Stone Massage and Thai Massage.
Over half of my career as an RMT has been as an Owner/Operator of a successful mobile practice in Calgary and Kelowna. Through the study and practice of CranioSacral Therapy and Visceral Manipulation of the Abdomen, I've gained knowledge to help people in a gentle yet effective way. Using all the skills learned, I'm able to aid in the progress of peoples’ healing process. I find it very rewarding and exciting when my clients gain their mobility again! Although I treat with gentle care, I'm able to adapt to doing deep tissue work. "For having such small hands, you're really strong.!" Quoted from a client (a bigger, muscular man). So yes I can give a deep massage. Combining techniques can be quite effective and useful to speed up healing.
In my spare time I'm drawn to connect with nature, to life and myself. Having a deeper knowing allows me to broaden my abilities. Constantly growing while ever expanding, I'm always on the go doing dance/stretch workouts and meditating. Volunteering, and connecting with a strong spiritual community provides me with much satisfaction in giving. Any opportunity for workshops that help develop strong leadership skills and bringing me into a better state of presence grounds me as well gives me purpose. Enjoying road trips, hiking, camping, spending time with loved ones, and developing strong friendships and deeper bonds keeps me balanced and whole.
