I am a nationally board certified (NCCAOM) and Vermont licensed acupuncturist and Chinese herbalist. In 2017 I earned my Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS), formerly the New England School of Acupuncture. My B.S. is in Nutrition and Food Sciences from University of Maryland. In my time at MCPHS I had the privilege of working with patients with a wide range of backgrounds and complaints, from pediatrics to geriatrics, and acute injury to chronic disease.
While the foundation of my training lies in Traditional Chinese Medicine, I specialized in Japanese acupuncture while studying for my Masters. Studying Japanese acupuncture has afforded me additional techniques including treatments with non-insertive needling, called Teishin work. This kind of treatment can be especially useful for patients who feel they are “needle-sensitive” or very energetically sensitive.
My personal philosophy of health & wellness has developed through my own journey with disease and wellness. Chinese Medicine, Zen Buddhism, and Shamanism have been the centerpieces of my own journey through healing and into wellness. Health is an ongoing journey, and while we aim for balance we need to welcome that wellness is not a static state to be reached and then live in forever more. I have learned true health is being in a state of resilience, where we feel able to meet and bounce back from life’s challenges.
My goal for our therapeutic relationship is to empower you to manifest the health and abundance you want in your life. I am here to support you.
