My name is Emily Wood. I am a young professional Massage Therapist working at a local gym in the little city of Burlington Vermont.

I focus with a Deep Tissue approach towards massage because most of the clientele I work with are here training with their personal trainers to prevent and recover from injuries.  Deep Tissue, complimented with Trigger Point work and Myofascial Release, improves the recovery process of the trainers' work and the overall musculature of our clients.

I became a Massage Therapist because I have always admired how massage and the human touch can improve the health of a person. After studying about human anatomy and physiology, I am even more fascinated with how complex it is. I love helping others and aiding in the improvement of their wellbeing.

In my free time, I prefer to spend my time outside.

Hands to Honduras- Volunteer

Hands to Honduras is a group that travels to Honduras with the mission to provide children all around Tela and other small towns with uniforms and a safe place to learn. H2H builds and maintains schools as well as provide health clinics to the kids. H2H also supports the adult women with traveling health clinics. I have been working with this group since 2007

Green Mountain Coffee was providing a Wellness Day for their employees. I was recruited to do chair massage for anyone interested.

During my Massage Training at Touchstone I organized, coordinated, and provided chair massages to the Nursing staff at Fletcher Allen. With me were 4-5 other massage therapists from my school.
