Day Maker - Let me make your day

In 2011, I graduated from Irene's Myomassology Institute, Southfield Michigan.  Immediately after graduation, I started working with Dr. Ray Hillanbrand DC at Pro Chiropractic, Beverly Hills Michigan, where I started his massage therapy practice.  From there, I opened my own office where I worked part time.  At the same time, I worked part time at a high end spa where I got promoted to Assistant Manager.  After a while, I realized, though I'm helping the therapists help our clients, I missed ...

After a while, I realized, though I'm helping the therapists help our clients, I missed working on on them in that environment and went back to being a massage therapist.

In 2016, I moved to Texas and love it.  I didn't start practicing right away though.  Between living in a fixer upper, getting settled in a new state and seeing fun looking employment opportunities, I opted for those experiences.  The whole time, I missed massage and knew I should be doing that.  When people learned I am also a massage therapist, something in them knew it is what I should be doing and asked "Why aren't you doing it now. You seem like it is perfect for you."

So, 2019, here I am, back to what I love.  Helping people one session at a time either relax or improve wellness.

The body wants to be healthy and heal.  Modern medicine practices are great and I will never discourage seeing your primary care physician.  But why seek only 1 method to wellness.  Wellness can be achieve many ways, including the help of natural and holistic approaches.  Whether you are experiencing symptoms of dis-ease or just to relax and de-stress, massage therapy is a great way to improve and/or maintain health and wellness.  There are many modalities that can be used within a massage practice that are beneficial.  Let's work together to achieve your goals together using techniques that best suits you in a safe environment.

From the moment a client walks in, I can tell by the look on their face and the way they carry themselves if it's a good day.  For those that aren't feeling the best when they walk in, their mood and energy has improved as they are walking out, this is so rewarding. I have a passion for the hands of approach to improve the bodies functions.  I am intuitive to what the body may need that I have the tools to offer.  I think the body fascinating and the fact that I can assist my clients achieve and maintain wellness keeps my passion strong.  It is my goal to offer a safe quiet and relaxing environment where my clients trust that I have their best interest and wellness a priority.

I wasn't always like this though.  For many years, I suffered from debilitating anxiety and depression and I knew nothing about natural and holistic living. I was on multiple prescriptions and regular counseling session and I could barely function as a mother and could not work.  In 2008, I started questioning why this was happening to me. I wasn't always like this. Why am I like this now?  Why can't doctors tell me why this is happening and why can't is be fixed? 2009, I met a Holistic Healer, sounds crazy I know, but here's the crazy part. After working with him, my life changed.  By the end of 2009, I was not on any of the medications and I was fully functioning as a mother and even started working.  My life CHANGED!!!  I learned so much about the body and the holistic approach.  In 2010, I started my journey to help others to wellness by enrolling in massage therapy school.
