Dr. Kimia Akhavan has a passion for the holistic paradigm of Chiropractic. Her passion started while she was receiving Chiropractic treatment for her lower back pain. During her treatments, she gained a deep belief and understanding of pain patterns, injury prevention and rehabilitation. This realization alerted her outlook on healthcare and also led to her full recovery.

Following her passion, Dr. Akhavan completed her Bachelor’s of Science in Human Biology from the University of California, San Diego. She then completed her degree in Doctor of Chiropractic, from Southern California University of Health Sciences in 2014. 

Dr. Akhavan emphasizes education throughout the process of each patient case; actively involving her patients in their treatment plans and recovery and helps them achieve their health goals through many modalities in her toolbox. She spends time correcting pain patterns through full body work, Chiropractic care and nutrition. She specializes in Functional Medicine, Myofascial Release Therapy, Rock Tape Level 1, sports massages, exercise techniques, nutritional advice, rehabilitation, Trigger Point Therapy and is completing her full body ART technique certification.
