Kate is a recent transplant to Maine, after bumping around the States since immigrating 15 years ago- she got here as soon as she could! Originally from Zimbabwe, Kate brings with her innate massage skills, a calm and steady attitude, which she engages during her sessions to provide deep mind-body relaxation for her client. She has been a licensed massage therapist since 2010 and is trained in Swedish, trigger-point, deep tissue, lymphatic, hot stone, and facial massage techniques, as well as hydrotherapy, range-of-motion, myofascial release and PNF stretching techniques. She enjoys using deep tissue techniques to restore range of motion to her clients with adhesions and using her intuition to guide the flow and pressure of the massage. Kate is also a licensed esthetician, with an interest in natural, non-invasive and transformative skin care, stemming from restoring the skin’s natural acid mantle and barrier function.
