Robin found it rewarding to instruct techniques to students and expand on when to use them with different types of injuries, stress, and tension areas in the body. To watch the students Level up in knowledge and skills is empowering. Robin feels that when you teach what you love, you infuse your students with tremendous success as their foundation is more substantial and filled with passion. This fuels confidence that generates greatness in everything that you love and do.
While being an instructor, Robin was the lead Massage Therapist for Merritt Chiropractic Clinic in Davenport, Iowa. Here she sharpened her skills, evaluating and treating each patient with specific massage techniques, proper application, and medical-massage protocols to accomplish measurable results in patients. She accomplished this for each patient by coordinating their treatment, education, and massage therapy with Dr. Merritt. This position gave Robin confidence in answering questions about the doctor's recommended treatment, booking her appointments, and accepting payments. Robin also received training in ultrasound and reading X-rays. Robin would evaluate new massage therapists' techniques for a position in the clinic, conduct constructive employee meetings, and discuss exceptional cases/patients. She established goals for future massage promotions to increase business and set up a bonus system for exceeding the clinic's monthly plans.
After her first child's birth, Robin worked for team members of the Carolina Panthers NFL team and Charlotte Bobcats NBA and many other athletes in both leagues. Here she established massage treatment, protocols, and stretching to meet each of her professional athletes' needs to reduce possible injuries. (Ex. Pulled hamstrings, turf toe, quad tendinitis, deep thigh bruises, and chronic hip, low back pain from overuse. Wrist, arm, and shoulder treatment from being over-trained.) Applying proper stretching and massage techniques to improve performance, increase range of motion, and speed up recovery time. Robin worked on preventing future injuries from occurring and made them feel better.
Robin has continued to work for her PRO-Athletes. In August 2013, Robin and her family made the best family decision; to move to Colorado. Here Robin continues to focus on her clients. By evaluating and listing to each of their wants and needs for their session. Then, the proper application of the technique and timing of medical-massage protocols can accomplish measurable results in each client. Robin continues to travel to work on her Pro-Athletes and continues to run her private practice.
