Feeling good again -- it doesn't have to be just a dream.

I came to massage therapy by accident (I thought I was supposed to be a nurse). That was more than ten years ago, and I'm still finding the human body endlessly fascinating! I am so glad to be able to help people get rid of their aches, their pains, and their stiffness -- without the side effects of surgery and pills. I'm not arrogant enough to think I can help everybody, but the odds are definitely in your favor.

I received my training in California, becoming certified in Swedish massage in 2005 and Acupressure in 2006. I added a whole host of other certificates (i.e. Deep Tissue, Soft Tissue Release, Trigger Point, etc.) along the way, but the ones I tend to use most are Acupressure and CranioSacral Therapy.

Acupressure is similar to Acupuncture in that it uses the same points to tap into the body's energy system, but instead of using needles, I use finger pressure. It's a gentle, non-intrusive way of helping the body to relax and gain functionality.

CranioSacral Therapy uses a very light touch to work with the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord), which affects change throughout the whole body. It's been around for over fifty years and can help with an astounding range of issues -- headaches (of course), but also ADD; scoliosis; hormonal imbalances; sciatica . . .

In addition, for the past three years I have been integrating Young Living essential oils into my practice. I continue to use them simply because they're effective.  For instance, the essential oil from the marjoram plant can penetrate dense tight muscle that has forgotten how to relax, and get it started releasing before I ever start working. And with no side effects!

One of the things that has been lost over the years is the concept of looking for the source of the problem rather than just prescribing a pill or a cream to mask it. For instance, your arm and shoulder are very painful and the doctor diagnoses it as "frozen shoulder." But what caused it to be so? I find it a fun challenge to figure out where the issue originates and then how to address it.

So if you're interested in lasting results, come on in and let's see what we can do for you.  It's amazing what a gentle touch in just the right place can accomplish!
