Practicing massage therapy is a calling that began before I earned my bachelor's degree. My formal training started at the Pacific Center for Awareness and Bodywork on Kauai, Hawaii, following my studies in Chinese Medicine at the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon. With over 1,000 hours of massage training, I specialize in Myofascial Release, Cranio Sacral Therapy, and Structural Integration. I have trained in Somatic Experiencing, Hakomi, Prenatal, Trigger Point, Swedish, and Lomi Lomil. My massage education under Mark Olson, Ph.D., emphasized the Neuroscience Affective Relational Model, making me a Trauma-Informed therapist.

My massage sessions are somatically focused, incorporating Myofascial Release, Cranio Sacral Therapy, and Structural Integration, tailored to each client's unique needs. I believe the most effective sessions occur when clients deeply engage with their bodily experiences, gaining new awareness and sensations. While I prioritize the nervous system, gently addressing areas of pain to recalibrate it, I refer clients to other professionals when necessary and offer long-term support to help them achieve their goals. With a background in dance, yoga, meditation, and endurance sports, I combine my diverse knowledge with hands-on work.  I also offer pharmaceutical-grade Thorne and Microbiome Labs supplements at a discount. I think health is our greatest asset and I am eager to help my clients attain better health and wellbeing.

REVIEWS for my Bodywork services

I just had an incredible massage with Shannon, and I want everyone to know what a wonderful experience it was! I explained all my past injuries, and she was incredibly attentive… a great listener who really targeted the spots that have been bothering me over the last few years. I’ve booked a three-session package, and I’m 100% going to recommend her to my cousin and sister so they can experience her talents too. I highly recommend Shannon to anyone looking to start their healing journey; her massage studio is extremely peaceful with a fantastic vibe. It’s easy to find and perfectly located downtown. Thank you so much, Shannon… I can’t wait to see you soon!

Shannon understands body work better than anyone I’ve seen.

I had a fantastic therapeutic massage with Shannon. From the moment I arrived, she made me feel completely comfortable with her warm, kind, and calming presence in her relaxing studio. She is incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to understand where I was experiencing pain, explaining everything in a way that helped me feel relaxed and supported. The session itself was wonderful — one of the best I’ve had — and I left feeling lighter, looser, and genuinely cared for. I highly recommend Shannon to anyone looking for a thoughtful, skilled, and truly compassionate practitioner.

I would not use again. Didn't really feel like a massage at all. I had asked for neck, shoulders and back and didn't really spend time on those areas.

One of the best massages I have ever had! Loved every single minute of it. So impressed and pleased that I signed up for a monthly membership.

Shannon always does an excellent job in relieving pain from tight muscles. She creates an atmosphere of relaxation, is knowledgeable in a variety of massage techniques and listens to your needs.

excellent massage. Knowledgeable and has the skill to apply it. Took the time to listen to problems and even with my limited knowledge and ability to describe, she was able to understand and provide relief from the pain and tension I was having. Very precise and effective and a quiet environment where I felt comfortable

Shannon was great. She really did some unique techniques on the areas I was having trouble in and released a lot of the tension in my neck and lower back. Would definitely recommend.
