Oyamiwa Walker's bodywork journey began before massage school when she became certified in Thai Massage after completing a 200hr Yoga Teacher Training in 2018. Although she's fully capable to teach a yoga sequence, she fell in love with bodywork. Before receiving her Thai Massage certification, Oyamiwa began offering free sessions to friends and family. In 2020, she was one of thousands of people laid-off from employment due to COVID-19.  Oyamiwa took advantage of the opportunity by advancing her knowledge in bodywork by enrolling in a massage therapy program. She completed the program at the American Massage & Bodywork Institute with all A's.  Oyamiwa is also certified in Myofascial Release, Reiki I & II and Sarga Bodywork.  Oyamiwa is eager and excited to share her skills and knowledge to anyone on a healthcare journey.  During her free time she enjoys exercising, running, swimming, practicing yoga, dancing, roller skating and riding her motorcycle.

My bodywork experience began before massage school when I became certified in Thai Massage. 2018 was the beginning of the free Thai Massage sessions I offered to friends and family. In November of 2020, I enrolled in a massage therapy program. I'm happy to say I completed the program at the American Massage & Bodywork Institute, earning all A's. My additional certifications are in Myofascial Release and Reiki I & II. My healthy appetite to learn ensures I will add more modalities to my service menu in the near future.

This was my first visit for massage therapy and I didn’t know what to expect. I was actually amazed how much an impact appropriate massage can begin to ease the pain I’m experiencing. I was impressed with the in-depth consultation before the massage, the and the inquiry about my current health issues. Oyamiwa asked all the important questions to let her know how to treat me. I really appreciate the professionalism of her service, her knowledge and skill. I look forward to my next visit

Oyamiwa is not only incredibly skillful, she is equally knowledgable and responsive. She generously shares information about the areas of the body you will be working on and offers exercises you can be doing at home. Once the bodywork begins, her touch is just right and she dedicates the time to being responsive to your entire body, reaching all the areas where tension may be hiding. What is particularly special is her presence. Oyamiwa has a remarkable peace about her that creates a wonderful environment of safety and restoration. I always leave her massages at ease in my body and spirit.

My experience with Oyamiwa was beyond amazing. She took her time and hit all of the areas requested. She had calming music which helped me relax and the massage area smelled very good. She was attentive and asked questions to ensure I had the best massage experience possible. Because the one on one experience was so great, I don't see myself visting a "chain" massage parlor again.
