In 2007 when Lorraine began studying psychology and world religions she heard lectures on alternative medicine for the first time. With a lifelong interest in studying Asian cultures, biology, and medicine developing an interest for asian medical systems was simply the next step. In 2010 Lorraine graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a Bachelor's of Science in Psychology and Religious Studies. Driven by her desire to help others through philosophy, psychology, and health education she pursued a Master's Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine. In 2014 Lorraine completed her degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine in Denver, CO and moved back to her hometown of Copper Hill, VA. Love of teaching and educating others about the medicine she practices fuels her passion for lifelong study of alternative and complementary medicine. She hopes that one day integrative medicine will include the valuable wisdom of many cultures and healing modalities to provide healthcare and relief to everyone in the best ways possible.


Growing up in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia Lorraine enjoys gardening, hiking, caring for animals, supporting local economy, preserving natural resources, and living mountain life.

Talking while the Acupuncture was being done was important. I don't think I could have watched it being done. I didn't feel much, so it didn't hurt - until I moved!

Lorraine had mentioned during our first talk about what I was looking for, that she usually focuses more on acupuncture, and massage was not her strong point, however, she gave me the absolute best massage i have ever had, in terms of overall relaxation and relief of my pain. she was very easy going, and enjoyable to talk with and made me feel comfortable right from the start.
