The client wears shorts, sports bra, tube top, etc. It is not a relaxation massage but is very effective as it involves different positions (sidelying), active involvement by the client, and stretching. It is similar to structural integration and is more effective in returning the body to its natural balanced state than regular massage. Tom also is proficient in sports massage, stretching. The particular type of stretching he does is called Active Isolated Stretching. It was developed by Aaron Mattes who is known as the guru of stretching and is the most effective type of stretching program. Clients wear gym clothing to receive this. Athletes and people who love to work out benefit greatly from both Synergetic Myofascial Therapy and Active Isolated Stretching.

REVIEWS for my Bodywork services

I loved Tom's attention to detail. I liked when he would comment if it was tight. He kept the pressure consistent throughout the massage. Will be coming back.

Tom was very polite, skilled and professional. He asks questions to obtain information about my most problem area so that he could make sure to target places that was giving me the most problems. I will definitely be coming back!

Tom was very professional. I told him about some shoulder and elbow discomfort I was having. He used a combination of massage and stretching and the discomfort is now gone. I will definitely be booking with him again.

Tom was extremely skilled and knowledgeable in treating my problem areas which provided relief that I have not been able to achieve in just about a year. If you’re an active person or athlete and don’t want to be slowed by nagging aches and pains or over use injuries, contact Tom for your sports massage. It will be well worth your time.

Tom was great! I had never had active isolated stretching done, and it left me feeling lighter and less tense. I highly recommend the 30 minute massage with 30 minute isolated stretching, especially if you are an athlete or work out regularly.
