With 20 years’ experience she continues providing massage to clients by integrating several modalities including Swedish massage, Reflexology, Sports massage / repetitive use injuries, Chronic Pain, trigger point therapy, Passive Joint Movements, and post-surgical massage rehabilitation. She has advanced certifications in Mann Pain Management techniques for Fibromyalgia and Myofascial pain from the Behavioral Medicine Center of Vermont, Pregnancy and Postpartum Massage Therapy from The Somatic Learning Associates in California. She also provides corporate massage to businesses, as well as volunteers her time for events providing chair massage.
Melissa, also was an Instructor at the Salter School, teaching classical massage techniques, advanced therapeutic procedures, soft tissue manipulation, business development, communications and human relations.
Melissa continues to expand her knowledge in order to provide her clients with the greatest level of care possible. Her compassion and empathy for her clients, and her ability to educate them on ways to unwind their pain patterns, is the reason that clients continue to rebook with Melissa. She is passionate about change and knows that when a client is truly open and ready for change to happen, that is when true healing can begin.
