It was during the time I was working in the clinic that I had a client come in for their first massage ever. I could tell from the moment I shook their hand that they were completely uncomfortable with someone else touching their body. They had received a free massage as a gift from their daughter and didn't want it to go to waste. While talking to them about the treatment and what to expect, as well as what is required, a question came up. "Do I really have to get undressed?"

I responded to the question with a simple "no", I explained to them that they are required to "dress down to their level of comfort." If this meant being fully dressed then that would still be perfect. They would not be able to fully benefit from the massage if they were that uncomfortable. After that they seemed to relax slightly but it wasn't until they got on the table that things really started to make me think. I was never shown how to perform a table massage while the client remained dressed.

Due to the length of the program and great instructors; I had been shown a few Shiatsu techniques and chair massage. Using these very different techniques together I was able to create a table massage that could still be beneficial and relaxing at the same time.

The client who had been suffering from lower back pain, head aches, and difficulty sleeping was fast asleep within fifteen minutes of me starting the massage. a week later they returned. They were so grateful they had gone an entire week without a single headache and although they still had some minor pain in their lower back they claimed it didn't interfere with their work like it had been.

It was with this experience that I came to realize if I were to offer an affordable, relaxing, and comfortable massage all while being able to come to you; then so many would be able to benefit from this necessity that we all have come to think of as a luxury. I believe I have finally succeeded in that goal.
