Maureen is a 2006 graduate of the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy in Newington, Connecticut (license# 4907) and a Certified Professional member of the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals. She offers an eclectic mix of massage techniques and modalities, including Swedish, myofascial, deep tissue, trigger point release, breath work and stretching in her sessions. She also uses Reiki to facilitate energetic balance and overall wellness.
After graduation, Maureen returned to assist in teaching courses at CCMT, and continues to pursue an ever-expanding bucket list of continuing education in order to create individualized sessions for each client.
Maureen has taught infant massage to new parents and caregivers since 2008 at local Family Wellness Centers, and is available for private classes as well. She does guest lectures for the Livestrong program for cancer survivors and their support partners, and is completing coursework at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition as a Certified Holistic Health Coach.
Maureen enjoys working with clients from all walks of life--athletes, artists, runners, retirees, fibromyalgia sufferers and cancer survivors. This wide demographic has provided her with the opportunity to deepen and refine her approach. Maureen's goal is to provide a therapeutic massage experience distinctly tailored to the individual and his current situation and goal, and to contribute to that person's overall wellness.
