I first experienced the power of massage through healing a personal injury. I enrolled in massage school with the intent of focusing on athletes and “healing people” through treatment massage. What started as a science-minded career move evolved into a life-changing revolution in my entire way of thinking about health and wellness. Our bodies are amazing, and when given the right tools are capable of remarkable things… including healing themselves. By utilizing my knowledge of anatomy and kinesiology, I coax the body into letting go of stored tension and increase circulation which brings in the nutrients needed for repair. I use “force line” treatment which addresses all muscles associated with an injury/condition (not just the immediate location of pain) leading to a more complete resolution. My style merges targeted deep tissue treatment with intuition and acceptance of where each client is on any given day. I believe deeply in the body’s ability to heal itself, and move slowly to allow my clients to connect with their bodies and determine the ultimate depth of massage. Massage promotes a mind-body connection and when paired with other tools and practices such as good nutrition, proper hydration, flexibility and strengthening, meditation, and rest, massage can lead to better overall health and wellness for the entire being. With over 19 years of experience working with kids, I am excited to bring the benefits of massage to your whole family! Just like adults, your budding athletes can also see quicker, and more complete healing from injuries when massage is incorporated into the treatment plan. Even infants can see an improvement in sleep patterns and digestion when massage is added to their schedule. I am a Certified Educator of Infant Massage through Infant Massage USA/International Association of Infant Massage. I teach 5-week parent/infant classes where parents can learn to communicate with their new babies through the art of massage. Besides massage, I love traveling, being outside, practicing yoga, growing food and flowers, and spending time with people who love me and inspire me to be my best, most authentic self.

Katie teaches Swedish Massage Foundations at Sage School of Massage in Bend, OR. This is the first hands-on class aspiring massage therapists take and lays the foundation for all other modalities.
Katie teaches 5-week courses where new parents learn to massage their infants. This is a precious tool for bonding with your baby, learning to communicate with your non-verbal little one, and reduces gas, colic, and crying... which means more sleep for EVERYONE!!
Katie has taught gymnastics to kids ages 18 months - 18 years since 2002. Learning to develop and balance young athletes' strength and flexibility to prevent injuries is a big part of what led her to pursuit education in anatomy, physiology and kinesiology, and ultimately led to a career in massage therapy.
